DCD2 / Fueled By Ramen artist nothing, nowhere. has released his widely anticipated new album VOID ETERNAL. The collection marks the beginning of a new heavier chapter for the Vermont based artists and stands as his boldest offering yet; 12 tracks that journey into the darkness—a path that nothing, nowhere. walks down as far as it will go.

Furthermore, nothing, nowhere. has also released an official video for “VEN0M” featuring Underoath.  The Max Moore directed clip sees Underoath’s Aaron Gillespie and Spencer Chamberlain delivering a rare collaborative performance alongside nothing, nowhere. – watch it HERE.

“‘VEN0M’ is about being in a mentally abusive relationship – not just with a person, but also with bad habits and negative thought patterns… a mentally abusive relationship with yourself,” notes nothing, nowhere.  “I vividly remember writing this song not long after spending a night at a party in LA. As a sober and mostly introverted person who has never really been to parties, that was a hard time for me. I felt like an outcast and I felt overly self-critical in ways I didn’t know possible. I’ve always had trouble fitting in, and in that moment, I was 13 years old again, unsure of myself and where I fit in the world. I hope people can hear this and realize that these thoughts are universal and that your self-perceived shortcomings are often what make you unique.”

nothing, nowhere. is the musical endeavor of songwriter, singer and guitarist Joe Mulherin who recorded VOID ETERNAL in his self-built studio – a restored barn overlooking the woods of Vermont.  The album was mostly created in isolation, only inviting in former Counterparts’ guitarist Blake Hardman, engineer Brody McKeegan, producer Taylor Morgan, and a few other close friends. VOID ETERNAL is highlighted by the singles “CYAN1DE” featuring Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy, “M1SERY_SYNDROME” featuring Buddy Nielsen of Senses Fail, “THIRST4VIOLENCE” featuring Freddie Dredd and Silverstein, and “MEMORY_FRACTURE.” Furthermore, VOID ETERNAL also sees nothing, nowhere. collaborating with Static Dress, SeeYouSpaceCowboy, and Will Ramos of Lorna Shore for some of his most aggressive and in your face songs to date.

Up next, nothing, nowhere. will embark on a full-scale North American spring tour which includes a series of headline dates (4/5 – 4/9) followed by a cross country trek alongside Wage War and Spite (4/11 – 5/20) [tour itinerary below]. Furthermore, beginning this summer nothing, nowhere. will head to Europe for a series of festival performances and headline dates followed by a full UK / European tour in the fall supporting Fall Out Boy. VOID ETERNAL follows nothing, nowhere.’s celebrated 2021 album TRAUMA FACTORY, which features “fake friend,” nothing, nowhere.’s first song ever to enter Billboard’s “Alternative Airplay” chart. The New York Times hailed TRAUMA FACTORY track, “DEATH,” as a “Scabrous, immensely satisfying emotional expurgation from Joe Mulherin that deploys early Beastie Boys drums and Rage Against the Machine bark-rapping in service of a rap-rock revival bathed in righteousness.” CLASH declared, “While human suffering or pain isn’t joyous, the special craft of nothing, nowhere. most certainly is,” and FLOOD praised album cut “lights (4444)” for its “minimalist trap beat,” adding it “sounds like a GothBoiClique single steeped in a turn-of-the-century boy-band aesthetic.”  The FADER hailed early single “blood” (Feat. KennyHoopla and JUDGE) as “a strapping collaboration,” while UPROXX avowed, “it’s clear that there’s a lot more going into Joe Mulherin’s production style,” celebrating the song’s “hip-hop beats and a driving distorted bass line.”
