CORY MARKS, der sich gleichermaßen zwischen Rock und Country bewegt, hat heute eine doppelte Portion an neuer Musik veröffentlicht: Den Rock Song „Guilty“ mit Gastsänger DL von Bad Wolves und die Country Sommer Hymne „Drunk When I’m High“. Beide Tracks sind digital auf allen Streaming-Plattformen verfügbar und werden auf MARKS‚ neuem Studioalbum enthalten sein, das später in diesem Jahr über Better Noise Music erscheint.
„Guilty (feat. DL of Bad Wolves)“ wurde von Kile Odell (Failure Anthem, Nita Strauss) produziert und gemixt. “‘Guilty’ is really all about being unapologetically yourself and being okay with that,” so MARKS. “Having DL of Bad Wolves join me on this track really adds more fuel to this rock song making it even harder and heavier—he sounds great on it. If living my life is a crime, then I’m guilty.”
“This song was a really fun listen from the first time, so when I got the opportunity to sing on it, I was stoked,”sagt DL über die Zusammenarbeit. “This was really enjoyable to do, thanks to Cory for having me.”

„Drunk When I’m High“ wurde von Kevin Churko (Ozzy Osbourne, Five Finger Death Punch, Shania Twain) im The Hideout Recording Studio in Henderson, NV, produziert und abgemischt. MARKS über den Song: “This summer anthem is just supposed to make you feel good, happy and upbeat. It’s a great song to turn up and play in your car, on your boat, at a house party, just chilling on a beach or by the pool all summer long. Drunk while I’m high watching days go by…”

MARKS hat seine Musik einem breit gefächerten Publikum in ganz Kanada und den USA an der Seite von Acts wie Five Finger Death Punch, ZZ Top, Toby Keith und Brantley Gilbert präsentiert und stand mit Nickelback auf der Hauptbühne des diesjährigen Boots and Hearts Festivals. Sein Debütalbum Who I Am (2020) landete in mehreren kanadischen Charts auf Platz #1, darunter in deniTunes „Country Songs“ und den kanadischen Nielsen „Digital Sales Rock Genre“ Charts. Das Album enthielt die Hit-Rock Single „Outlaws & Outsiders“, die in den USA auf Platz #1 der Billboard „Rock Digital Song Sales“ Charts und auf Platz #5 der iTunes „Country Songs“ Charts landete. „Outlaws & Outsiders“ schrieb in den USA Geschichte, da es die erste Top #10 Rock Radio Charts Single eines kanadischen Country-Acts war. In Deutschland kletterte der Song bis auf Platz #3 der Rock Radio Charts. Die Single wurde bis heute mehr als 160 Millionen Mal gestreamt und erhielt Platin in Kanada (MARKS‘ Heimatland) und Gold in den USA. MARKS hat seitdem drei weitere EPs veröffentlicht und begann das Jahr 2024 mit einem neuen Song, „A Different Kind Of Year“, der in den Top 10 von SiriusXM’s Top of the Country Radio landete.
