Generation Sex will be showcasing two of the modern punk bands reflecting Britain today. Just like Sex Pistols and Generation X, these are artists reflecting their frustration at Britain today, channeling anger through great music and bringing contemporary sound to their work.

Today we announce that Bob Vylan and Grade 2 will be supporting Generation Sex across two UK huge dates at The Civic at The Halls Wolverhampton (10 July) and Manchester Apollo (11 July).

Bob Vylan are an acclaimed London duo, melting punk with grime and hip hop for a very modern British sound.  In April last year, they released their second album ‘Bob Vylan Presents The Price Of Life’ which made the UK top 20.  Kerrang have described them as the most important UK punk band around and they provide incendiary social commentary.  The Guardian praised the album as “bolshy rap-rock takes aim at not-so-Great Britain – and its message couldn’t be timelier.”

Grade 2 hail from the Isle Of Wight, formed as teenagers with punk flowing through their veins and channeling Gen Z frustration. Louder Than War described their ‘Graveyard Island’ album as “Upbeat stripped back punk’n roll with a bit of yobbo thrown in.”  Their third, self titled, album was released this year and they will also be supporting Guns N’ Roses at BST Hyde Park on 30 June.

The punk quartet begin their shows on 14th June on L’Ubu in Rennes, France and go on to perform in Norway, Holland, Sweden, Switzerland, Germany – as well as headlining shows in the UK including Manchester and Wolverhampton, with a special guest appearance at the Dog Day Afternoon in Crystal Park Palace alongside Iggy Pop and Blondie. Two new shows have been announced at: O2 Apollo in Manchester on 11th July and Tivoli Vredenburg in Utrecht on 27th June.
