FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH kündigen heute die digitale Deluxe-Edition ihres aktuellen Studioalbums AFTERLIFE an. Das Album erscheint am 9. Februar 2024 über Better Noise Music und wird zusätzlich zu den 12 Original Album Tracks vier neue Bonustracks enthalten. Darunter drei Akustikversionen der Songs „The End“, „Judgement Day“ und „Thanks For Asking“, sowie den brandneuen Song, “This Is The Way” zusammen mit dem verstorbenen Rapper DMX. Das offizielle Musikvideo zu This Is The Way (feat. DMX)wird am 9. Februar zum Release des digitalen Deluxe Albums Premiere feiern.
Five Finger Death Punch Gitarrist Zoltan Bathory über This Is The Way (feat. DMX): “Music is meant to be shared, and it starts at the top with us, the artists. We have always embraced the mixing of genres, whether it be the remake of LL Cool J’s „Mama Said Knock You Out“ featuring Tech N9ne as a guest or our collaboration with blues warrior Kenny Wayne Shepherd, country star Brantley Gilbert, and Brian May, the legendary guitarist of Queen, on the song „Blue on Black.” The idea of collaborating with DMX had been in discussion for years, and it was a long and winding road to turn this particular item on our wish list into reality. He was a lyrical warrior, a true original who spoke his mind incorruptibly. We have always viewed DMX as „the metalhead of hip-hop“ because of his aggressive, raw, and untamed style. He growled and snarled, aiming to rattle some cages – an attitude we share, as Five Finger Death Punch has always been drawn to the fearless and the real. It made all the sense in the world, but today this is more than just a song; it’s a salute to a legend, a way to honor DMX’s memory.“
Zur heutigen Ankündigung der digitalen Deluxe-Version von AFTERLIFE veröffentlichen Five Finger Death Punch einen der neuen Bonus Tracks, die Akustikversion von „Judgement Day“. Die Band hat sich bereits im November 2023 mit Covenant House zusammengetan und ein offizielles Video zur Originalversion von„Judgement Day“ während des National Runaway Prevention Month veröffentlicht, um das Bewusstsein für die zunehmende Jugendobdachlosigkeit in den USA zu erhöhen.

Five Finger Death Punch werden am 3. Mai 2024 zudem ein einzigartiges Vinyl-Case veröffentlichen, das eine Kapazität für bis zu 35 12-Zoll-Vinyls hat. Das Case zeichnet sich durch ein spezielles Artwork Design aus, welches die Karriere der Band bis heute repräsentiert. Das Vinyl Case erscheint in EU & UK exklusiv über EMP und kann ab sofort vorbestellt werden.
FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH werden diesen Sommer, zwischen Mai und Juli 2024, eine UK-/Europa-Tournee mit Headline-Terminen und großen Festivals absolvieren. Darunter auch sieben Shows im deutschsprachigen Raum. Die Tournee fällt mit dem europäischen Teil der M72 Tour von Metallica zusammen, bei der 5FDP zur Zeit als Special Guest in Stadien auf der ganzen Welt auftreten.
