$E VENDE RINCON is a punk’n‘roll band based in Rincon, Puerto Rico, the surfing capital of the Caribbean, and the lower east side of New York City. Their debut record titled „Gracias“ is a mix of old school punk rock (see The Ramones, Dead Kennedys, Misfits or Iggy & The Stooges) and Chicago Blues from the 50s and 60s (think of Muddy Waters, Lil Walter, Hound Dog Taylor, Howlin’ Wolf). $E VENDE RINCON sees punk and blues as the same in attitude.
Their orgasmic live show was developed over countless surfer parties, club shows and festivals in Puerto Rico and New York City. Once the band found its live voice, they set up their own DIY tours in Europe and the US. Highlights were gigs in New York City, Nashville, Kansas City, Long Beach and Chicago, where they supported Melt Banana at the legendary live club „Reggies“. During these „mentally challenging adventures into the bizarro“, $E VENDE RINCON became more aggressive and the harmonica became more prominent. The band weaves in and out of punk songs using noise and psychedelic elements. About the lyrics, Manolito, the singer and frontman of the band, says: „We write about what we know, what we live and witness everyday.“
$E VENDE RINCON‘s debut album „Gracias“ is set to be released on the German indie label Barhill Records on LP/CD and digitally. Tours, Mayhem and festival dates are planned for spring, summer and fall of 2024.
