Kyle Daniel, the Bowling Green native and powerhouse singer-songwriter blending classic southern rock with modern country, has released the single ‘Summer Down South’ featuring The Cadillac Three – listen HERE. Co-written by Jaren Johnston and Kyle Daniel, the rollicking track captures the essence of summertime in the South with infectious energy and irresistible hooks.
‘Summer Down South’ is a celebration of good times, hot weather and cold beer, complete with vivid imagery and an anthemic chorus that invites listeners to raise their cups and soak in the Southern vibe. The song features Kyle Daniel’s distinctive vocals alongside the infectious sound of The Cadillac Three, creating a perfect blend of southern rock and country.
This new track follows Kyle’s recent release, ‘Can’t Hold Me Back’, which has already garnered attention for its powerful lyrics and electrifying energy. Both tracks will be part of Kyle’s highly anticipated debut album Kentucky Gold, set to be released June 28th via Snakefarm. You can pre-order the album here.
Breathing new life into timeless influences and resurrecting the glory days of ’70s country rock for a new generation, Kentucky Gold makes room for it all and demonstrates just how wide Daniel’s musical reach can be.
“Releasing my debut album, Kentucky Gold, feels like the culmination of a lifelong dream,” says Kyle. “I feel like it’s finally time to tell my story and I’m excited to get new music out to the world.”
Kyle co-wrote all 12 tracks, collaborating with producers such as The Cadillac Three’s Jaren Johnston, The Lone Bellow’s Brian Elmquist and songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Mike Krompass. Kentucky Gold promises to be a standout release in the roots music landscape, as the album weaves together elements of Muscle Shoals soul, Nashville twang, blues and the raw energy of Daniel’s electric guitar.

About Kyle Daniel
Firing twin barrels of classic southern rock and modern country, Kyle Daniel makes blue-collar music for rock clubs, honky-tonks and everywhere in between. At the centre of that southern sound is a guitar hero, storyteller and songwriter who has built up his audience the old-school way, by hitting the highways year after year, playing everywhere from dive bars in Tennessee to the Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London, taking in key UK & European festivals along the way.
Kyle, a native of Bowling Green, Kentucky, began playing bars before he could legally drink. Music was in his blood; his father played banjo in a local bluegrass group, and his mother played bass and piano. He followed in his parents‘ footsteps by becoming a hotshot guitarist, winning the Kentucky Blues Challenge at 17 years old and placing in the finals at the International Blues Challenge one year on.
Later, Kyle began writing songs that showcased not only his fiery fretwork but also his songwriting chops and vocals. His debut EP, Kyle Daniel, was recorded in a single day and released independently in 2018. Even without a label’s help, the self-titled record found critical acclaim, with Rolling Stone praising it for mixing „the gravely twang of Steve Earle with Chris Stapleton’s range, plus bigger hooks”. After spending several years as a sideman for other artists, Kyle was finally claiming his share of the spotlight, brewing up his own melting pot of hard-hitting American roots music.
